MMMM ACQUIRES MID-AMERICA PRO CLEAN
KANSAS CITY, October 1, 2001 – In one of the most significant developments in the building services industry this year, Tim Murch, CBSE, president of Mitch Murch’s Maintenance Management Co. (MMMM), announced that his company has purchased Mid-America Pro Clean (MAPC), one of the area’s most respected contract cleaning firms, from industry veteran Dan Cline, II. MAPC was begun in 1987, MMMM celebrated its 23rd anniversary October 1.
MMMM is headquartered out of St. Louis with more than 2,000 employees in 200 accounts servicing over 25 million square feet every day and night throughout Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. The transaction is a perfect fit for both companies and their Kansas City area customers, as they provide supervised cleaning of buildings, carpet cleaning, power washing, construction cleanups, window cleaning, upholstery cleaning and special services. The purchase includes all of MAPC’s ongoing contracts, facilities, equipment, management and employees. Dan Cline, II will serve as the Regional Vice President, and maintain the same roles as he has had in growing his business, but with more financial, management and administrative resources for his customers’ benefit.
With the addition of MAPC’s accounts, MMMM will have more than 2 million square feet of commercial office property, corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities under contract in the Kansas City area, and will bring its total company annual sales volume to more than $32 million.

According to Dan Cline, II, he has been interested in taking his company to the next level and has known of MMMM’s solid reputation in the industry for some time. MMMM will continue to provide the same services that Dan Cline built his reputation on, along with the enhanced opportunities for growth that a larger company brings. "It was a natural fit for both companies," he said. "We have the same philosophies about business and about our employees. I was looking for a company to merge with that would treat my clients and employees as well as I have and one that offers additional capabilities."
Despite the economic landscape, Both Murch and Cline are excited about their opportunities in regard to the development of new business. "While the marketplace may be experiencing some belt-tightening right now, there are opportunities to be pursued as the real estate and manufacturing sectors look for efficiencies in their cleaning programs, and we have the innovations and expertise to provide them," said Murch.
MMMM serves Numerous UMB facilities, numerous MC Properties, and Colliers Turley Martin Tucker among others, and has 100 employees in the Kansas City area. Other MMMM customers with a presence in Kansas City are Commerce Bank, Trammell Crow Company, Bank of America, Citicorp, and Jones Lang LaSalle.
